Our Care System

A Good Stay Takes More Than a Place to Sleep

Room to rest. Play that fits. People who pay attention. At Canine Country, we consider the whole dog, not just how to keep them busy. Our care approach brings together everyday comfort, thoughtful activity and services that support different needs.

Our Care Wheel describes the overall approach, not an all-inclusive package. Services and activities depend on your dog’s needs, suitability and the options you book.

Six Parts. One Thoughtful Approach.

Space, play, health, comfort, learning and purpose. Our Care Wheel connects six parts of a dog’s experience, from a comfortable place to settle to opportunities to explore and engage.

The right balance is different for every dog. Some enjoy active company; others need quieter handling, more individual space or a gentler pace. We take those differences into account rather than expecting every dog to have the same day.

What That Looks Like Here

Each part of the wheel connects to practical care, a service or an option you can discuss with our team.

BOARDING

Space to Settle

Rest is part of a good stay. Private indoor/outdoor accommodations, meals served according to your instructions and time to settle give boarding dogs a place to pause between activities. Dogs have outdoor run access during the day, weather permitting.

DAYCARE

Play That Fits

A good group is about compatibility, not just company. We consider size, age, energy, temperament and play style when matching dogs. If your dog prefers their own space, talk with us about individual options rather than assuming group play is the right fit.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

People Who Notice

Knowing a dog means noticing when something changes. Our team pays attention to appetite, behavior, energy and comfort, alongside the health information and medication instructions you share. Tell us about existing concerns before arrival so we can discuss your pet’s care needs.

HYGIENE

Clean & Comfortable

Clean spaces and comfortable bedding matter just as much as activity. We’ve replaced bedding throughout the resort and are renovating runs with durable, easy-to-clean surfaces. Bath and nail care are available separately, ask our team about the options for your dog.

TRAINING

Learning for Real Life

Work with Jules in a private session attended by you and your dog. Discuss your goals and practice useful skills together with guidance. Private training is booked separately and is not currently an add-on to boarding or daycare.

ENRICHMENT

Activity With Purpose

Give your dog individual time to sniff, explore, solve or play, with activities matched to their interests. Optional 30-minute sessions are directly supervised by an enrichment specialist and are additional to regular boarding or daycare activities, with needed rest preserved.

Dogs Need Dirt. And Thoughtful Care.

Our country setting gives dogs fresh air, outdoor time and room for different kinds of days. With 18 outdoor play yards, indoor/outdoor boarding runs, a dedicated training building and an enrichment yard, we have space to offer different activities and setups.

But more space doesn’t mean nonstop activity. A good day makes room for movement, sniffing, rest and the right amount of interaction. The goal is the right experience for your dog, not simply the busiest one.

What Does Your Dog Need?

Tell us about their routine, comfort level and care needs. We’ll talk through the available options and whether Canine Country is the right fit for their visit.
